Mavericks is a 100% volunteer based organization. The board of directors meet the first Wednesday of every month year round from 7-9pm. A board members term is one calendar year, positions are renewed annually in September by a voting process.  If you would like to join the board of directors or help with many volunteer opportunities please let us know! Mavericks is looking for a few dedicated individuals to serve the Mavericks community in a Board of Directors position. Current roles needed: Communications Coordinator and Sponsorship Coordinator. Contact: [email protected] for more information. 

B.O.D. Minutes Review and Approval Process

The process for approving Board Minutes calls for the Board Secretary to compile the Minutes and to send them to the Board President for an initial review and edit. This second draft version of the Minutes is then coordinated with all the Directors and comments are integrated into a Board Coordinated Draft that may be circulated again if there are substantive adjustments to the initial drafts.  

Please note that the minutes are not "approved" until the next board meeting. As a result, "provisional" Minutes are informational only and technically "unapproved" until a formal vote by the majority is taken by the Mavericks Board members.
